Do you love taking care of yourself? To be mindful towards what you eat and taking care of your skin is not vain at all, those are expression of love to your health and well being (just make sure to do it in moderation).
When I become a mother, I realize that health and beauty have become important aspect. I think, it would be great to grow old in healthy way, seeing my daughter grown healthy and wisely, making quality time together with her. It is also harder to have "Me Time" when you have infant to take care all of the time, especially when you are also a working mother. I realized that "Me Time" must be made, it can be created with good understanding with your partner.
One of my quality "Me time" that must be made is taking care my face with exfoliation then mask once to twice weekly. During that time usually my husband will take turns to babysit our daughter.
The Body Shop (TBS) is one of my favorite brand, it is easier to find Vegan, Free of Parabens, Silicone, Mineral oil variant in their products. They are also doing fair trade and environmentaly safe. TBS also have many discount throughout the year, big one actually. This easter season, they have up to 50% off for they body butter and 20% off for they famous mask (HIMALAYAN CHARCOAL and CHINESE GINSENG & RICE). I am hooked with both of the mask, especially when reading the ingredients and smelling its calming aroma, yet I want to try one, so I choose the Chinese Ginseng & Rice.
It is good to Illuminates, evens and revitalises the skin.
Ingredients:
Main ingredients as usual water, glycerin, and there is interesting one here: Luffac Cylindrica or Sponge gourd, claimed to have antioxidant properties, Kaolin is clay mineral, good for oily face. When you ask its safety for pregnant women, I would say: I don't really know. There are salicylic acid there, but it is in the middle part of all ingredients, it might be so small < 2% but we cannot be sure.
Sadly the Ginseng Extract and Rice is in the latter part (as it is costly).
The texture is grainy, mud and sticky yet easy to apply, there are no spoon here, so you either take it with clean finger or with spoon to prevent further contamination. PAO is 12 M, I think it can last up to 3 months with regular use twice a week.
When you apply it on your face, it felt warm and a bit tingling. The fragrance is warm and have calming quality, you can rub it too because there are small scrub in it. Leave it on your face for 10 minutes then rinse with warm water.
After usage: my skin felt plump, soft and clean. It effectively clean my pores, and it is easy to clean, unlike my AZTEC Clay Mask :D.
Verdict if I would buy it again: Yes, but if they have discount on it, and I plan to buy other variant.
