Hi ladies, I am back with toner review as I have promised before. Indonesian product is such a miracle to me, the quality and price made an interesting bargain. While I have my girl time with one of my friend, I saw a discount/ sale/ price cutoff (yes I have my radar for this kind of things) in martha tilaar shop. I am in dire need of toner, I almost run off my olay pore minimizing toner, although the quality was ok, I need to experience new toner that easily accessible in indonesia (bye-bye my favorite mario badescu T__T) .

I asked the SP during that time, my skin is sensitive, acne prone, combination, dull, what kind of toner should I use for this situation? She has kindly give me this toner, although she offered me the whole series, but unfortunately I just buy new facial wash >.<

for this  toner, I have excellent price IDR 175.000, although it is quite pricey for the local toner brand, but the packaging and ingredients make it worth.

When you opened the cap, it has pump mechanism on its head, secure and just scream bye-bye to spilling fluid. Even when I used 1 pump on half facial cotton, it still cover all my face.

The packaging looked like high end brand.

The ingredients: 

- Alpha arbutin: as a lightening that help to prevent melanin formation

- Bio Brightening Complex help to mask spots, increase glow on your face.
- Anti Irritation gentle, can be used daily.

when I swept on my face even after cleanse my face with my kanebo clay wash, I still found yellowish dirt on the cotton (what a cleansing power). The smell, water like texture and without alcohol is a big plus.

Definitely will buy another one.

Hi ladies! Apakah kalian mengikutsertakan toner dalam ritual kecantikan harian? Kalau belum akan kubeberkan fungsi dan keuntungan dari menggunakan toner. All human should include toner in their daily grooming. Setelah membersihkan wajah dengan facial foam, biasanya masih ada sedikit kotoran yang nyelip di pori-pori. Toner yang tepat menjadi solusi membersihkan sampai tuntas dan memberi nutrisi awal yang menyiapkan wajah kita siap untuk menerima krim-krim dan serum yang akan dioleskan. 

Berikut adalah fungsi toner:

1. Menstablilkan pH wajah

Wajah memiliki pH nya tersendiri yang cenderung acidic 5-6. Sabun untuk wajah kebanyakan masih bersifat alkali, sehingga toner membantu mengembalikan pH wajah setelah dibersihkan dengan sabun. pH wajah yang terganggu membuat kulit wajah memproduksi minyak lebih banyak dan mengganggu penampilan pori-pori

2. Mengecilkan pori-pori

Sebenarnya karena point nomor 1, menstabilkan pH wajah, produksi minyak menjadi lebih terkontrol dan juga fungsinya untuk membersihkan sampai ke sela-sela terkecil sehingga tampilan pori-pori menjadi lebih rapih.

3. Hidrasi dan nutrisi

Toner masa kini tidak selalu mengandung alkohol dengan kadar tinggi. Sebagian mengandung humektan dan ekstrak-ekstrak tanaman dan bunga yang memberikan makanan tambahan untuk kulit.

4. Mencegah ingrown hair (rambut tumbuh ke dalam)

Toner yang mengandung glycolic acid dapat membantu grooming anda.

5. Menyegarkan Wajah

Yes, karena nutrisi dan pembersihan yang dilakukan toner membantu pori-pori anda mengalami masa "eureka" yang akan membantu kulit wajah bernafas lebih lega.

Secara pribadi, saya menyarankan toner dengan kadar alkohol sekecil mungkin atau mungkin tidak ada. Walaupun kulit anda berjerawat dan bahkan berminyak sekalipun. Berdasarkan pengalaman waktu masa-masa SMA, ketika memakai asrigent, toner yang kadar alkohol diatas 30%, wajah jadi semakin kusam, sehingga ketika saya memakai toner lembut dengan kadar alkohol minimal, kulitku malah makin bersih. :>

Untuk toner, selanjutnya akan saya tampilkan 3 toner yang pernah saya pakai dalam 1 tahun terakhir.

Hello girls, we are back with another moisturizer topic. Last week, I run out the moisturizer that I always brought for my night shift in hospital. Usually, for practical reason, I only brought one type of cream, day cream. The last thing that I used was Garnier 12 hour shine free moisturizer, it was quite effective, my skin was supple and look fresh. Although it claimed to be shine free for 12 hours, after 6 hours, my oil still become quite oily, so I continued with my quest for perfect moisturizer (at least for my skin). When I went to a grocery store, I went to cosmetics section, we have wardah, loreal, Maybelline, Mirabella, Mustika Ratu. 

Traditional Indonesian beauty products are my weakness, I love the concept of natural ingredients and how it use local products from Indonesian soil. I went straight to Martha Tilaar Bengkoang moisturizer with hibiscus extract although I cannot examine the texture or its smell because thin foil to protect its content. The price is quite the catch, for only 34000 IDR, I decided to buy it for scientific (LOL), curious experience. Although it has dimethichone, I read 5 earliest ingredients in the moisturizer, It has water, glycerin, hibiscus extract, bengkoang extract! Wow, what a surprise, for the price, it promised with quality stuff. The  smell is pleasant, mild tone, texture more on lotion and easily absorbed into skin, after 3 minutes I can slather all my beauty products on my face because the moisturizer completely set in.

OLAY REGENERIST NIGHT  CREAM (harga diambil dari telunjuk.com untuk Juni 2016)

Olay, nama yang mengingatkan saya pada krim yang sering mama pakai waktu dulu saya kecil. Waktu elementary school, saya hanya ingat satu macam cream dari yang namanya olay of ulan (bener gak sih namanya), yang masih eksis dari zaman mama kita masih gadis sampai saat ini.

Mama selalu menekankan pentingnya skin care, dibandingkan kosmetik, walaupun ibu ku punya genetik yang bagus. Kulitnya normal ke arah kering, jadinya pori-pori hampir gak kelihatan dan kulit kencang. My mom is 60 year old this year, but she looked like 40 years old, and here I am, inherit my Father and Grandmother oily skin with big pores >___^.

Jenis kulit kita memang berbeda-beda, makanya perawatan kulit ku lebih intense sejak  SMP. Masih ingat waktu masih SMP, diajak nenek untuk facial 2 minggu sekali, terus dibelikan cleanser milk, asrigent. SMA pernah ke dokter dermatologist terkenal di Jakarta, tapi tetap saja jerawat menggila. Waktu kuliah lebih freestyle, kalau jerawat sedang parah pakai obat dokter, dan kalau lagi nurut, coba-coba moisturizer yang banyak dijumpai di drugstore.

Night Cream, merupakan bagian esensial dari perawatan wajah. Saat malam hari, tubuh mengikuti alur sirkardian untuk meregenerasi tubuh, termasuk kulit, organ paling luas di tubuh kita. Karena itu, perawatan kulit saat malam hari memegang peran esensial dalam kesehatan, kekenyalan kulit.

 

OLAY, merupakan salah satu band pertama yang jadi percobaan ku, saat itu Regenerist night cream series menjadi regimen rutin hampir 3 bulan. Wanginya lembut, waktu itu (tahun 2008) warnanya ungu lembut, teksturnya creamy, lengket dan susah menyerap ke kulit.

 Sayangnya, walaupun banyak yang cocok dengan cream ini, tapi tidak dengan kulitku. Review di situsnya sendiri sangat menjajikan, makanya walaupun jadinya jerawatan dan komedo, aku berusaha untuk bertahan sampai 3 bulan, dan akhirnya kutinggalkan begitu habis. Akhrinya setelah mencoba cream-cream lain, aku sadar dengan bahan-bahan cream. Saya tidak dengan dimethicone, paraffin >.<, karena fungsi emolientnya yang menutupi lapisan kulit dengan bahan yang berminyak, maknya malah ngetrap minyak di pori-pori saya.

Kesimpulannya, produk ini sangat efektif bila kulit kita kering atau normal, BiG NO to oliy and acne prone skin

Alhasil inilah review yang didapat dari pemakaian di kulitku (nilai maksimal 5), Review ini dibuat berdasarkan pengalaman sendiri.
